TEXTILENE · SEATING SELECTION

How to choose Textilene mesh for outdoor seating

Start with frame attachment, exposure and colour, then compare HM304, HM315 and HM317 swatches. Includes prototype checks and quotation inputs.

Start with the chair, then select the swatch

For sling-style outdoor seating, buyers may use the terms sling fabric or sling chair mesh. This guide covers woven PVC-coated polyester mesh selected for the chair’s frame attachment. Confirm fabric stretch, attachment strength and whole-chair load requirements through physical samples and finished-chair prototypes.

For seating mesh, first define the chair, how the fabric attaches to the frame and the checks required for the finished product. Weight, weave and colour help shortlisting; none alone establishes chair load capacity or outdoor service life. The three models below are sampling candidates to assess against your construction.

SECTION 02Contents ↑

01 · Define the frame and attachment method

State whether the seat and backrest use separate panels. Provide frame drawings, fabric dimensions and the attachment method, such as sleeves, sewn edges or another joint. For folding chairs, identify fold lines and contact points during repeated movement. This lets the supplier discuss a sample against an actual design.

A useful starting brief: chair type + frame drawing + attachment method + panel dimensions + target market.

02 · Compare physical samples and the finished prototype

Compare colour, texture and handle under the same lighting, then build a prototype using the intended attachment method. Agree checks and acceptance requirements with the finished-product manufacturer: tensile and elongation behaviour, seam or attachment strength, complete-chair loading and appearance after use. For outdoor exposure, specify sunlight, moisture, cleaning and required weathering tests. Catalog weight is not a substitute for loading or weathering results.

03 · Make quotations comparable

List each model, current standard or required usable width, quantity, colour, end use, destination, currency and EXW or FOB terms. All three have a catalog weight of 600 g/m²; that does not establish identical price, stock, lead time or performance. Confirm available standard widths per model. A custom-width range does not mean every width is in stock.

Include your open questions with the sample request

The fabric MOQ is 500 metres per style. Free A4 samples are available; shipping is free within mainland China and paid by the customer elsewhere. Include the end use and candidate models with your request.
