75°C × 50 Washes: Huamao Colour & Dimensional Test Results

We submitted independently developed 65/35 polyester-cotton samples to SGS for industrial-laundry evaluation. After 50 wash cycles at 75 ± 2°C, all three colours recorded PASS for the stated post-wash colour requirements; the yellow sample also met the stated dimensional-change limits.

SGS report SL32603343222701TX, pages 2 and 5, records PASS for the post-industrial-washing colour performance of samples A, B and C. Page 11 records yellow sample A at −2.7% lengthwise and −1.0% widthwise, both within the stated ±3% dimensional-change limits. The accompanying Certificate of Test is 326033432227, Issue 1.

The challenge: retain colour and dimensions through repeated processing

The evaluation combines a defined high-temperature wash procedure with repeated wash-and-dry processing. The value lies in the recorded properties after the cycles: fluorescent colours must remain within the stated colour-performance requirements, and the tested yellow sample must meet the dimensional-change limits.

The tested route used ISO 15797:2017 Table 4 Procedure 2 (reduced load), 75 ± 2°C, reference detergent without optical brightener, and Procedure A tumble drying not exceeding 90°C. ISO describes this framework as a way to evaluate workwear intended for industrial laundering. ISO 15797 official scope

What this gives your purchasing team

Post-wash visibility evidence

The three tested colours have stated post-wash results, supporting material review for workwear intended for repeated industrial laundering.

Dimensional limits with actual values

The yellow sample has separate length and width results that can be checked against the stated acceptance limits.

Development linked to testing

Use this experience to discuss material selection, the sample plan and relevant test requirements for your next workwear project.

Testing support for different fabric projects

We can support material selection, sample planning and third-party testing discussions for different workwear fabrics. Send the composition, construction, colour, finish, intended laundry conditions and acceptance requirements so the appropriate method can be selected.

The results above belong to the yellow, orange and red 65/35 TC development samples labelled HM007 in the report. They do not bind current catalogue HM007/SL0007 or certify a finished garment; new materials are evaluated separately.
